Abstract Art

I had a great day on Monday with the Weedon Bec Creative Textiles group. We had a play day with acrylic paints and papers to create abstract pieces for inspiration for fabric work, quilting and embroidery. Loosely based on summer garden images I managed to create some very Monet water lily pieces.  Now just got to turn them into textile pieces !
Maybe I will use some of my ice dyed fabrics and fragments then chiffons to overlay. It might just work - I'll show you once I've had a go.

These pieces are really interesting. What an interesting idea for a play day.
